Landline — Rotary Dial Phone · Effective August 7, 2026

The short version

Landline has no accounts, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking. Your photos, contacts and dialing all stay on your device. Two things do leave it: anonymous crash reports and anonymous usage counts, described below. Neither is tied to your identity, and neither is used to track you.

What stays on your device

What leaves your device

Neither service receives the numbers you dial, your contacts, or your photo. Because Landline does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, it never shows Apple's tracking permission prompt.

Calls

When you choose to call a number you dialed, Landline hands the number to Apple's Phone app. Landline itself places no calls and keeps no call history.

Purchases

Landline sells a single one-time unlock, processed by Apple through your Apple Account. There is no subscription. Landline receives no payment details; Apple tells the app only whether the unlock has been bought.

Share clips

Videos you export are rendered on your device and go only where you send them through the system share sheet. Replays use bundled room artwork and leave out your personal photo and saved contacts. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

Changes

If a future version ever changes any of the above, this page and the App Store privacy label will be updated first.
